A: Even on a semi-cloudy day and in lower light, our solar panels will often still provide some power to the pump. This is because a certain amount of photons still penetrate the cloud cover and hit the panel.
A: Yes, the solar water pump has dry-run protection. This means as soon as the water level gets too low or if you take it out of the water, it will automatically shut off.
A: The pump may become clogged with debris if the pool or pond is dirty. It's advisable to clean the pump regularly. Open up and remove the front and back covers to clean the filter and the two metal probe sensors on the back of the pump.

Absolutely love these. They are sturdy, necessary for underwater application, and just bright enough for subtle ambience. The solar charge lasts about 6 hrs.
I have these set up in a small planter along my kitchen window and they've worked out pretty nice so far. I set the solar panel along the edge of the roof where plenty of sunshine hits in the spring and summer months. There are different intensities that you can choose from and the lights are adjustable to give you the angle that you want. It has a decent amount of power cord to each spotlight but I always wish that there was longer lengths but for my set up I was able to make it work. So far they have held up some heavy rain weather along with very sunny and bright days. These would make a good addition to your garden for the Spring and summer seasons. I recommend them.
We put this in our pond and the lights are very bright, and it looks awesome.
I really love these lights they really make my koi pond pretty. I did see in one review that when he changes the color the next time they come on it’s red again mine do the same thing but that’s not a real problem for me.
This is my fourth set of pond lights and they are by far the best I set have purchased. They are brilliantly bright and beautiful. I have them on a setting that makes them shine rainbows into my fish pond at night. My pond is 4' deep, and I want lights that let me see to the bottom of my pond at night. Every other ""bright"" set of lights I've purchased were a disappointment in that area. Not these! I am so pleased, I'm getting another set. I love that they are solar powered, which was a big bonus as it means one less thing to plug in for my pond. They are very well made, which was surprising considering how inexpensive they are.
These lights are sturdy and charge up well. We used these to shine on some of the trees in our yard to add some fun effects. The cord is long enough to the solar panel that the lights can be under the tree and the solar panel in the sun. Overall these are great outdoor solar lights.
